“Oz Noy is repeatedly breaking new ground with his unique style and amazing guitar playing. One of my favorites!“
ERIC JOHNSON
“I do a ton of online instructional material myself, but this is probably my favorite guitar improvisation lesson thing I've come across…
Really well done and really practical stuff!“
Mark Wein, MarkWeinGuitarLessons.com
“It's Jazz. It just doesn't sound like it“ – that's how virtuoso guitarist Oz Noy describes his intoxicating blend of Jazz, Funk, Rock, Blues and Rhythm and Blues.
Oz' unique style has attracted calls from a wide range of artists like: Richard Bona, Chris Botti, Gavin DeGraw, Phoebe Snow, Roger Clover, Clay Aiken or Toni Braxton, as well as repeated Guitar Player Magazine Poll winnings.
His own recordings regularly include all-star cast like Vinnie Colaiuta, Dave Weckl, Will Lee, Allen Toussaint, Eric Johnson, Steve Lukather and Mike Stern.
In this jam-packed 2.5 Hour Guitar Improvisation Video Lesson (plus 50-min Interview!), Oz shares his unique approach to Improvisation – unrelated to any specific style of music – and breaks it all down for you: from improvising over one chord to the blues and beyond.
“Instructional videos don't get much better than this and considering the subject, Oz Noy, and the price of admission,
this is stealing from the gold mine.
The videos cover his approach to guitar improvisation and composition, and with the MP3s & PDFs and enough time to absorb it, you will be oz-noying everyone in your path in no time.“
David Knorr, USA (5-Star Amazon Review Excerpt)
“The format of these lessons is really great. Oz walks you through his approach to using various scales that he prefers. He will show you the scale and various different ways to play them either straight through or with various sequences like 3rds. Once he has covered a scale, Oz and the band will lay down a groove which he will solo over and then give you a chance to do the same.
All of the scales and ideas are in the tabs.
This is the next best thing to driving to NY for a private lesson and at less than 1/2 the price!
I have been playing guitar for over 30 years and this is a great set of lessons with more information than can be mastered in a single setting.
If you like Oz Noy, you will really enjoy getting inside of his head and getting a look at his thought process.“

“IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT GETTING BETTER, GET IT. NOW!
Absolutely one of the very best guitar instructional packages I have ever seen.
Built around Oz's approach to improvising over dominant chords, you will get all of the tools you will need to improvise over any style.
The material ranges from scales to triads to arpeggios and other patterns and features Oz demonstrating the concept alone and with a band.
The video is beautifully shot and the sound and camera work are crisp and clear.
It is amazing to get to see THAT much great guitar playing from that close!
I have a small library of instructional material and I would consider this company as good or better than anything I have ever seen over the past 20 years of playing. The main guy, Falk Willis, is a musician and you can tell he is really trying to create a product for musicians to REALLY use. Really well done instructional material.
I honestly can't think of a better instructional package for intermediate to advanced players interested in really digging into the building blocks of improvisation. Highly recommended!“

Fun and informative!
“I just finished watching the whole video, and it's a blast!
Some notes:
– Oz points out several times – this is not a “jazz improv” lesson, it's a “music” lesson, since you can apply the ideas to any genre.
– I'd say Intermediate level players can jump right into this; Beginners will grow with it; Advanced players will say, “Oh yeah, I remember learning that; maybe I should try it again!” So, essentially, something for everyone.
– Oz's demonstrations/jams with the band are excellent in that he does a fantastic job focusing on each sound [he uses the dominant 7th chord harmonically, and then teaches several scale/melodic concepts over that] so the student really hears what he's talking about.
– Production and sound are excellent!
Overall, it's worth the ticket just to see/hear Oz do his thing! I really rate this as “4.5 Stars,” but you can't do this here!
Buy it!“

“If you've seen Oz Noy play live before or listened to his CDs, it's quite obvious that he has an amazing grasp of theory and great knowledge of the guitar. What is more amazing is his ability to simplify everything.
His explanations are easy to follow.
Whether talking about scales, arpeggios or improvisation, he does it in a simple manner that it's easy enough for anyone to understand.
Also, the close-ups make it easy to follow along.
It's also worth mentioning that the play-alongs with his band are fantastic.
James Genus & Rocky Briant lay it down solid.
If you're looking to improve your playing, then this video is a must.“
Yoshiyuki Mori, Japan (5-Star Amazon Review Excerpt)
Oz keeps it simple but funky
“I have the other Oz video, so I wanted to see how he thinks when he solos.
He clearly demonstrates 4-5 scales and believes in keeping it simple;
that the melody and chord forms are inter-related and that keeping it basic is best.
He then shows you how to get creative with them, while assimilating them under your fingers and in your ears.
I especially liked hearing the Altered Dominant a little differently than I am used to.
The video production is stellar and the rhythm section is solid to play along with. Love this video!“
Jeff Taylor, USA (5-Star Amazon Review Excerpt)
“I just got the two Oz Noy videos!
These are by far the best instructional videos I've ever seen!!
I wish I had had these guitar improvisation videos 15 years ago!!
I've been playing guitar for more than 20 years and I've purchased quite few of this sort, and I'm telling you…
You've done some great work!
It's also very significant that the viewer can actually play with a real drummer and bassist (and Oz) and not some lame-a** drum-machine backing tracks.
This will keep me busy for a while… happy scream!!“
