Portinho Interview Web

Template CF signed URL Interview 720 OK

It has correct CF video player (for signed URL) & CF splash image paths.
CURRENTLY with 720×416 style.css link!

(CF stands for “cloudfront”, which is the video technology we use for our regular PREMIUMS videos; unlike EVP (easy video player), which is what we use for our MOBILE versions of our premium videos.)

IT ALREADY HAS: (And more details below…)
* correct CF links for signed-URL Flowplayer & CSS file (720×416 currently!)
* correct CF links for SPLASH IMAGES (just swap end of links! Leave CF part @ beginning intact!)
* correct CF links for signed URL MP4s (just swap end of links! Leave CF part @ beginning intact!)

THINGS TO STILL DO:

* insert correct INTERVIEW MP4 file (just replace END of link! Leave CF part @ beginning intact!!).
Go to S3 (“jmh-premium” – and correct sub-folders!) & copy URL of 720×416 INTERVIEW MP4 into NOTE PAD (or similar word processing application).
From resulting URL: copy ONLY the following part – EXAMPLE:
all-instruments/kenny-werner-mhr-premium/kenny-werner-intv-web-FINAL-2013-01-19-720×416
(WITHOUT the quotation marks!)
WATCH: so, this is WITHOUT the “.mp4” at the end!!
And it starts with the respective instrument (or “all-instruments”); and you do NOT copy the “/” before that!
-> Copy that in the respective correct location in your WP page – and REPLACE the pre-existing file name! WATCH: you replace only PART of the complete URL, though, remember!
(Easy way to find those: search WP page by “mp4”!)
WATCH: yes, it's strange… the mp4 comes in the beginning…
Doesn't matter… just REPLICATE what's there!! (And be careful about the existing “quotation mark” thingies! Don't delete or add one by accident! (Would mess up the code!)

* insert correct .jpg SPLASH IMAGES (just replace END of links! Leave CF part @ beginning intact!!).
Go to S3 (“jmh-premium-splash-images” – and correct sub-folders!) & copy URLs of ALL 720×416 JPGs into NOTE PAD (or similar word processing application).
From resulting URLs: copy ONLY the following part – EXAMPLE:
all-instruments/kenny-werner-mhr/kenny-werner-intv-web-FINAL-2013-01-15-720×416.jpg
(WITHOUT the quotation marks!)
And it starts with the respective instrument (or “all-instruments”); and you do NOT copy the “/” before that!
-> Copy that in the respective correct location in your WP page – and REPLACE the pre-existing file name!
WATCH: you replace only PART of the complete URL, though, remember!
(Easy way to find those: search WP page by “jpg”!)
(And be careful about the existing “quotation mark” thingies! Don't delete or add one by accident! (Would mess up the code!)
[ONLY if video other than 720×416: * choose correct CSS file! (Link to 592×336 one, for 592 videos!)]

* If for site OTHER than JazzHeaven.com: edit/enter respective FP (flowplayer) commercial license product key!

* confirm text @ top is correct (Artist Name + Product Title; AND ARTIST FIRST NAME in 1st paragraph AND right above the video player!! So, that's THREE places to change the name in! => Make sure no “placeholder text” is left!)

* Once page looks DONE: confirm all instructions text is deleted & page is clean & READY TO GO now!

Ralph Peterson Interview

The friendly version: Ralph and many people behind the scenes worked their butts off for many MONTHS to make this nice & shiny video for you.
Please allow us to keep bringing you the good stuff by not sharing your login info with other people.

The not-so-friendly version: If you share your user name & password with your friends, we WILL have to call our friend Tony with the big stick (aka cancel your account). Seriously. Yes, we have the technology in place to monitor that. Please play nice – or we will cancel your account.

Also:
1. You need the latest Adobe Flashplayer. It's free. Get it here.
2. No other up-/downloads while watching + no other big programs running + decent internet connection = happy experience watching the video!
3. We highly recommend the FIREFOX web browser. It's free. Get it here. Still issues? Click here for more help.

And now enjoy this great glimpse into Ralph Peterson as a person!
